Importance of Cleanliness

               Cleanliness is one of the good qualities. It is a part of our civilization. A man of dirty habits is far from civilization. So, with the progress of civilization man cleans himself more and more. He cleans his body. He cleans his mind and heart. He cleans all his action and manners. He cleans his soul. This will lead him to the highest form of civilization. Hence, cleanliness is considered so important.

              We hear a lot about cleanliness. This is the topic talked every day and everywhere. After all “What is this Cleanliness?” In simple words, Cleanliness is the opposite of Dirty. It has got high importance. That is the reason, why cleanliness is taught in every one’s life. Cleanliness starts from each of us. It can be personal cleanliness, cleanliness of our Room, Home, School, Street or our island.

               We need to keep our school, street clean. We should be highly aware of the cleanliness all the time. We should not throw anything in the street. Instead, it should be put in the dust bin. This way, we can help to keep our island clean.

               Students should strive for the cleanliness of the school. If students have anything to discard or throw he or she should use the dustbin provided by school. Proper cleanliness of class is mandatory for proper learning environment. Hence I request you all to aware the importance of cleanliness for our progress.

             If we clean our bodies we will be free from many diseases. Clean food cooked in the clean pot and served in the clean dishes, will give us health and happiness. If we wear clean dress our mind will be happy. Cleanliness gives us a cheerful mind. Hence, we read more and understand better. So, cleanliness brings us progress and improvement in all fields of activities. Hence, there is saying. “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.
